"I would recommend this Pre-marital Workshop to all my family and friends. The topics raised were extremely important to everyone considering marriage. This course should be mandatory!! The biblical principles were eye opening for me and I learned a great deal." – Jen
No one gets married with the intent of it ending in divorce. No matter how long you’ve dated or how long you’ve known each other, marriage can bring undiscovered information about your spouse that you have never considered. Couples get married and soon after realize they have different values from being raised in different homes, different ideas on how to discipline children, in-laws with different ethics, different perception of spousal duties, and much much more.
- In our program you will discover:
- Are you spiritually compatible for each other and committed to a Christian marriage as defined in the Bible?
- Understanding your Vows to each other!
- Your biblical roles as husband and wife.
- Properly handling money and finances.
- Sex in the marriage.
- Communicating and Resolving Conflict effectively.
- Living the rest of your life with your new In-laws.
- Raising Christian children together.
- Plans for your long term future together.
- What it takes to have a joyful, long-lasting marriage.
Research has shown that couples who participate in premarital education have more realistic expectations about becoming husband and wife. They handle conflict better, they communicate more effectively, and discover how to have a long lasting JOYFUL marriage.
"The topics were divided in a wonderful way. Personal experiences gave excellent examples of topics. The familiar style and Rhonda's grasp of the information made the class very easy to follow and be engaged in."
Upon completion of the program, you will receive a Certificate of Premarital Education that qualifies under Section 19360 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated.
Though it is not officially required, premarital counseling is officially endorsed by the state of Georgia. If you choose to get pre-marriage counseling then you will receive a discount of the marriage license. Also, the premarital education must be completed within 12 months prior to the application for a marriage license and the couple must undergo the education together.
"I liked being able to express my concerns about marriage in the pre-marital workshop by having a dialogue rather than just a lecture. It developed an outline and foundation for our marriage." – Matt
The marriage license fee is normally $61.00 cash. If you have completed premarital counseling then the license is only $26.00, again cash only. A savings of $35.00.
"I would definately recommend this Pre-marital Workshop to anyone considering marriage."
